Midwest Alarm Services is seeking a Fire Alarm Technician to install, service and maintain commercial fire alarm and life safety systems across multiple locations.

Job Skills / RequirementsThe purpose of this position is to install, service and maintain commercial fire alarm and other life safety systems.

- Provide top‑notch service and repair specified electronic life safety systems and peripheral devices.
- Maintain compliance with company policies and consult with supervisors/management regularly.
- Test and verify that all systems and devices (alarm panels, sirens, horns, strobes, etc.) function properly according to manufacturer specifications.
- Program or reprogram systems using programming software, computers, or tools.
- Keep company vehicles clean and in good operating order (e.g., handle periodic oil changes and fueling).
- Complete proper paperwork and submit it to the appropriate department daily.
- Be available on‑call and may oversee other technicians as needed.
- A positive, driven individual who takes pride in their work and is always willing to help.
- High School Diploma or GED; a degree in Electronics preferred (1–3 years of related experience/training or equivalent education and experience).
- Must obtain NICET II Certification within 2 years of employment.
- Must obtain the specified licenses/certifications required to perform work in the security industry per state regulations.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Experience installing or servicing the following systems is highly desired:
- Notifier, Simplex, EST, or similar fire alarm systems.
- Video Surveillance/CCTV systems.
- Card Access Systems.
- Nurse Call Systems.
High School Diploma or GED.
