Established in 1953, Per Mar Security Services is the largest, family-owned, full-service security company in the Midwest with more than 2,600 team members, operating in 25 branch locations. The company provides full-service security solutions for homes and businesses including security officer services, smart home automation, burglar and fire alarms, access control, security cameras, alarm monitoring, investigative services and background checks.
Starting pay ranges from $20-$35 based on experience; there is also a monthly incentive program of up to 10% of your annual pay.
Responsibilities- Install and wire specified alarm system devices.
- Test and verify that all installed systems and devices (alarm panels, sirens, horns, strobes, etc.) function properly and in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
- Use multimeters for volts, ohm readings, and circuit analysis.
- Connect RJ31X to panel mountings of devices such as motion detectors, keypads, and controls.
- Program alarm systems via programmer or keypad.
- Explain and demonstrate to the customer how the specific alarm system works.
- Complete proper paperwork and submit to the appropriate department daily.
- Communicate with clients, co-workers and Per Mar's Central Monitoring Station.
- All other reasonable duties as assigned by the Installation Supervisor related to daily business operations.
- Valid driver’s license and the ability to pass background checks and drug tests.
- Must be able to obtain specified licenses/certifications to perform work in the security industry according to state regulations where the branch operates.
- High School Diploma/GED is required for all Per Mar Security Services positions.
- Must be able to travel, as needed.
- Must have mathematical skills including the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume, and apply basic algebra and geometry concepts.
- Must have knowledge of fire and electrical codes to ensure safe and proper installation of alarm systems and devices.
- Must possess values important to Per Mar Security – Integrity, Communication, Excellent Service and Accountability.
- Explain and demonstrate to customers how the installed alarm system operates.
- Complete appropriate documentation and submit to the appropriate department daily.
- Maintain communication with clients, co-workers and Per Mar's Central Monitoring Station.
