Senior Software Engineer – Java/AWS

Location: Urbandale, IA (On-site 3 days/week)

Expected hours per week: 40 hours per week

Schedule: Monday-Friday, Standard Hours, Hybrid

Pay Range: $66.00 - $69.00 per hour with optional benefits packages including PTO, medical insurance, and 401k

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our product team. This role involves working in a paired programming environment, collaborating closely with team members, and delivering high-quality software solutions. Strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, Agile environment are essential.

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications using Java as the primary language.
• Host and manage services in AWS cloud technologies.
• Collaborate with product teams to ensure features meet business needs.
• Analyze requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Implement enhancements to improve cost, quality, and performance.
• Follow Agile development methodologies for design and documentation.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team growth.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or Information Technology (or equivalent experience).

• Programming/software development (Java 90%, NodeJS 8%, Scala 2%).
• Hosting services in AWS cloud technologies.
• Product design, testing, and analysis.
• Agile development and software processes.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-driven and highly motivated.
