About This Role At Just Eat  (JET), data is at the core of everything we do. As we enhance our data and AI capabilities, we're on the lookout for a Global Director of Data Foundations & Governance to lead the way in how we govern, trust, and responsibly utilize data across our global organization.

In this pivotal role, reporting directly to the VP of Data & Analytics, you will spearhead our enterprise-wide data and AI governance strategy, setting the standards that empower teams to innovate confidently while ensuring our practices remain secure, high-quality, and compliant.

• Set the Direction:
  Define and evolve JET's enterprise data and AI governance strategy, establishing frameworks and standards for trusted innovation.
• Lead Through
  
  Collaboration:
  
  Partner with Technology, Product, Legal, Info Sec, and business leaders to embed governance into platforms and processes.
• Champion Responsible AI:
  Create AI governance frameworks ensuring ethical and safe use of AI technologies.
• Raise the Bar on Data Quality:
  Define enterprise-wide data quality standards to ensure accuracy and trust in our data.
• Build for Reuse:
  Establish standards for data products and lifecycle management to promote sharing and reduce duplication.
• Shape Our Data Strategy:
  Collaborate with senior leadership to prioritize data initiatives based on business value.
• Turn Standards into Action:
  Define requirements for governance tooling and automated controls, enabling scalable implementation.
• Drive Adoption and Change:
  Lead initiatives that foster data-driven behaviors and build a strong data community.
• Protect Our Data Ecosystem:
  Establish policies supporting regulatory compliance, including GDPR and CCPA.
• Lead and Develop Your Team:
  Build a high-performing team focused on trust, accountability, and continuous improvement.

• Extensive experience in data governance, management, and enterprise data strategy.
• Demonstrable expertise in AI governance and responsible AI frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks and their application in modern environments.
• Understanding of data privacy regulations and their practical implications.
• Experience shaping enterprise data strategies across diverse markets.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and unite teams around a shared vision.
• Experience defining requirements for governance tooling and data quality platforms.
• Strong commercial acumen to prioritize initiatives based on business value.
• Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
