Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly team at Usk Vets on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a full-time position with a 40-hour workweek on a rota basis. 4 x shifts from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with shared Saturday morning shifts from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
About the PracticeWe are a two-site, small animal practice in the heart of Monmouthshire. Our branch surgery is within a ten-minute drive, and the practice is close to the Monmouthshire River, Usk Town, and the Brecon Beacons. Cardiff and Bristol are within a 45-minute drive. We have in-house laboratory facilities, a DR X-ray machine with Signal Pet Use, dental x-ray and a dedicated dental theatre, prep rooms and main theatre, ultrasound, endoscopy, and walk-in kennels.
You’ll join a supportive and dynamic team of 9 reception staff, 1 Practice Manager, 7 vets, and 9 nurses, contributing to our high standard of care and service.
We’re looking for a qualified and enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse with at least 1 year of experience in a similar role. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing excellent care to both patients and clients, with a strong ability to work collaboratively within a team. A commitment to maintaining high standards of care and a willingness to take on a variety of responsibilities are essential.
