4-H Mentoring Assistant Site Coordinator will work with the Site Coordinator to serve the youth and families in the 4-H Mentoring program to provide after school club meetings, monthly family night out events and monthly group mentoring activities.
Responsibilities- Assist with recruiting volunteer mentors at the local high school.
- Assist with recruiting youth and families for the program.
- Plan and implement monthly events, such as Family Night Out and Mentor/Mentee activities.
- Assist with weekly mentoring club at the school.
- Attend all staff meetings and training's.
- Assist with maintaining site data (volunteers, families/youth, surveys, etc.).
- Must be able to work effectively with volunteers, youth, and families.
- Basic Computer skills (Microsoft Applications, Google Drive, Gmail, Social Media).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-starter, good follow-through.
- Ability to work with little supervision.
- Must maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Afternoon & Evening schedule that is open and/or flexible.

The environment and physical requirements may change depending on the specific function of the work each department performs. Incumbents may be in both indoor and outdoor environments. Indoors, in an office space, event space, or public space are protected from weather conditions, but not necessarily from temperature changes. Incumbents may nearly continuously sit and often use repetitive hand motion (such as typing).
This position requires moderate physical effort. Employees must have sufficient strength to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position, including lifting up to 25 pounds, walking and standing. Employees must adhere to safety precautions and may be required to use protective equipment.
