Automation Engineer - Manufacturing
Position Summary
Automation Engineer – Manufacturing at Solar Edge Technologies, Erda, UT. This full‑time role reports to the Automation Team Supervisor and is responsible for the output, operation, and maintenance of automation equipment and machinery.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement production equipment and tooling according to specifications from Project and Research & Development departments and process requirements.
- Coordinate automation projects with external integrators.
- Participate, support and run SAT (Site Acceptance Test) requirements with the project team, collecting and reporting SAT data.
- Analyze and find innovative solutions—including robots, vision systems, real‑time traceability, performance monitoring (FPY), troubleshooting—and optimize automatic lines to improve OEE and productivity.
- Manage resources, budget for the automation department and related projects.
- Drive continual improvement in FPY, efficiency, and scrap rate to ensure all KPI meet department requirements.
- Manage all maintenance activity, responsible for spare‑part budget and availability.
- Monitor daily production activity and submit daily production reports.
- B.Sc. in Machinery, Electronic Engineering, or related field.
- 5–8 years of experience in production plants or system integrators with specific knowledge in automation and management of complex machines.
- Solid experience in automatic equipment design, preferably in industry.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, software, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Knowledge of CAD 3‑D (PRO‑E preferred).
- Familiarity with FMEA.
- Experience in team management and outsourcing projects.
- Creative, “out‑of‑box” thinking, multitasking, self‑motivated, self‑maintained, and able to take initiative to solve problems.
- Good knowledge of English written and spoken.

Location& Compensation
Erda, UT. Salary range: $80,000 - $135,000 per year.
