The Associate Estimator will assist in preparing cost estimates and proposals for mechanical construction projects. This is an entry-level to early-career role ideal for someone with a Construction Management background, CAD or Drafting background, or HVAC field experience with strong technical and computer skills. You’ll work closely with estimators, project managers, executive leadership, and subcontractors to learn the full lifecycle of mechanical estimating.

• Assist in quantity takeoffs, cost analysis, and bid preparation for HVAC and plumbing scopes.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documents.
• Use estimating software and Excel to build and organize cost data.
• Communicate with vendors and subcontractors to gather pricing and scope details.
• Support the development of budgets and proposals for design-build and plan-spec projects.
• Participate in bid reviews and preconstruction meetings.

• Degree or nearing completion of Construction Management degree, Mechanical Engineering degree, CAD or Drafting degree, or field experience in mechanical trades with strong technical skills (HVAC, plumbing, piping).
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer skills.
• Familiarity with estimating software is a plus.
• Ability to read construction drawings and understand mechanical systems.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
