Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for night shifts requiring a UT or compact RN license and certifications in BLS, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, and NRP.

• Position is based in an acute care hospital Labor & Delivery unit
• Unit includes Labor & Delivery, Mother/Baby, Postpartum, and OB with 3 L&D beds and postpartum overflow rooms
• Average 120-130 births per year
• Night shifts from 6pm to 6am, 12-hour shifts
• Uses Peri Calm for fetal heart monitoring and Athena for EMR documentation
• Must be willing to float to Med Surg as needed
• CNA support is provided and shared between Med/Surg and L&D units
• No in-house OB or neonatologist coverage; family practice only
• Responsible for providing care throughout the Labor & Delivery and postpartum process
• May be required to float to the Med Surg unit as needed
• Solid color scrubs are required
• Pharmacy services are on call; CRNA available if needed for advanced airway management
• No in-house respiratory therapist; support provided as needed
• First time travelers are welcome to apply

• Active UT or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience
• Certifications required: BLS, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, and NRP
• Experience with Peri Calm fetal monitoring system and Athena EMR preferred
