Job Summary:
The Social Catering Sales Manager at Black Desert Resort is responsible for driving sales and managing the planning and execution of weddings, galas, private celebrations, and other special occasions.
The Social Catering Sales Manager will be the primary contact for wedding and event inquiries, tours, sales and contract completion. Professionally representing and marketing the Black Desert Resort and our wedding & event opportunities through personal tours, bridal shows and publications is a key role in ensuring our event calendar is full.
This role is responsible for creating a stress‑free experience for couples by working closely with vendors, preparing and communicating timelines in advance and ensuring that all details are executed flawlessly.
This is a creative and dynamic role that requires a passion for event planning, along with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experience.
Reporting to the Director of Catering & Conference Services, this position actively solicits new business, builds relationships with clients, and works closely with internal teams to ensure seamless event execution while maximizing revenue.

Shift & Schedule Availability: Year‑Round / Full‑Time
Pay Rate: $65,000 - $75,000/yr This is the pay rate we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.

- Develop and maintain relationships with event planners, local businesses, and potential clients to drive sales.
- Responsible for managing vendors, creating timelines, and ensuring that all details are executed flawlessly.
- Conduct site visits and client meetings, showcasing the resort’s venues, dining options, and event capabilities.
- Prepare and present customized proposals and contracts tailored to client needs.
- Collaborate with the culinary and banquet teams to ensure seamless event execution and exceptional guest experiences.
- Constant communication with appropriate Black Desert Resort team members to make sure event details are relayed to the proper people for successful execution.
- Address any last‑minute/event day needs with the proper departments or vendors to ensure facility is clean and set up to the client’s specifications including (but not limited to) cocktail hour, decorations, floral arrangements, photo needs/schedules, music, food, tent set up if needed, etc.
- Coordinate and oversee or assign oversight of all activities during the entire event day, including setup, vendor arrivals, ceremony, reception and teardown.
- Work closely with the Marketing team to promote weddings, catering and social event offerings through social media, print, and digital campaigns.
- Maintain accurate records in the CRM system, tracking sales activity, pipeline status, and revenue performance.
