ISSO Security Clearance

Position: ISSO with Security Clearance
Location: Hill Air Force Base

Role Overview
As an ISSO, you will be responsible for maintaining the operational security posture of information systems across isolated, connected, and standalone environments. You will work closely with the ISSM to ensure compliance with DoD security policies and RMF requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and enforce information system security policies, standards, and methodologies

• Support evaluation and validation of security solutions for multi-level information processing

• Assist with configuration management of security software, hardware, and firmware

• Analyze threats and support incident detection, reporting, and vulnerability remediation

• Maintain system security records for servers, workstations, routers, firewalls, and network devices

• Develop, update, and maintain System Security Plans (SSPs) and C&A / RMF documentation

• Manage IAVA compliance, including scans, remediation, and patching

• Administer user identification and authentication mechanisms

• Support the ISSM in maintaining the overall IA posture for assigned systems and enclaves

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as an ISSO supporting secure information systems

• 5+ years of experience with IAVA management tools and processes

• 5+ years supporting SSP development and security documentation

• Strong knowledge of security tools, encryption methods, communication protocols, and system hardening

• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field

• Experience supporting large software development or system integration programs

• DoD 8570 compliance (IAT Level II or higher)

• Active Secret clearance (required)

• U.S. Citizenship required due to ITAR regulations
