IT Support Specialist

Location:

Medford, OR

We are looking for an IT Support Specialist to provide hands‑on technical assistance, ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure. The role involves maintaining personal computer systems, troubleshooting issues, supporting staff, contributing to IT projects, and assisting with conference room A/V solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Support – Troubleshoot system problems and provide solutions to resolve issues.
  • Application System Support – Assist with upgrades and monitor changes to operating system software.
  • Performance Monitoring & Maintenance – Analyze performance and implement improvements to maintain stability.
  • Hardware & Software Deployment – Deploy new hardware, configure and support installations.
  • Conference Room A/V Support – Set up and maintain audio/visual solutions during meetings.
  • Device Management – Troubleshoot and activate smartphone, tablet, and handheld devices.
  • Process Adherence – Follow established IT procedures and ensure compliance with service level targets.
  • Ticket Management – Utilize SMAX to manage, track, and resolve IT support tickets efficiently.
  • Problem Analysis & Recommendations – Analyze solutions and recommend the best course of action.
  • Task Management – Manage multiple assignments, prioritize effectively, and deliver solutions in a timely manner.
Qualifications
  • 3‑5 years of experience in IT equipment support.
  • Experience in a plant operations environment with control networks.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and A/V systems.
  • Strong problem‑solving and communication skills.
  • Experience with IT desk‑side support or technical assistance roles.
  • Expertise in managing technical escalations and meeting SLA targets.
  • Prior involvement in IT projects or initiatives.
  • Ability to make decisions based on analysis of available alternatives using sound judgment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree or advanced studies in computer science or related field.
  • Experience working in fast‑paced environments or with cross‑functional teams.
  • Experience with networking tools.
