Location: Aragonite
Site Safety & Environmental Compliance Supervisor (Incinerator Operations)
Join Clean Harbors in Aragonite, UT and take point on EHS leadership for a high-hazard, heavy-industrial incineration facility. This operationally titled role is dedicated to building, executing, and improving safety programs. You’ll report to the Facility Manager, receive guidance from senior H&S leaders, and have a defined path toward higher-level H&S leadership.
Role snapshot
Primary H&S contact for all shiftsOSHA/EPA/internal compliance leadership
Incident investigation and corrective action ownership
Audits, metrics, and continuous improvement
Emergency response planning and drills
Hazardous waste handling, PPE, and confined space governance
Training, coaching, and culture building
Operational partnership during turnarounds/shutdowns/emergencies
Shift flexibility, call-out, and weekend support
Schedule and working conditions
Standard schedule:
Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.Must be available for day/night shifts, weekend call-outs, and emergency response.
Industrial environment with confined spaces, heat/cold exposure, and elevated noise.
Qualifications5+ years of EHS experience in heavy industry (required)
OSHA 500 (preferred) or willingness to obtainHAZWOPER 40-hour with current refresher (required)
Associate’s degree minimum;
Bachelor’s preferred in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related (10+ years relevant experience may substitute for a degree)
Knowledge of WSDS/MSDS, hazardous waste regulations, and compliance frameworks
Strong coaching, supervisory, and conflict resolution abilities
Proficient with digital documentation and reporting
Valid U.S. driver’s license
Ability to lift 50 lbs, enter confined spaces, and conduct physical safety walkthroughs
