Smart Trades is hiring Metal Finishing Technicians for a metal manufacturing facility in North Salt Lake, UT! This position involves grinding, sanding, deburring, and finishing metal components to meet production and quality standards.
Enjoy a consistent Monday–Thursday schedule, three-day weekends, and an additional 10% swing shift differential!
Location:
North Salt Lake, UT Pay Rate: $17–$20/hr DOE + 10% Swing Shift Differential Monday–Thursday | 3:30 PM–2:00 AM 4-Day Work Week | 10-Hour Shifts
- Grind, sand, deburr & smooth metal parts
- Remove welds, sharp edges & surface imperfections
- Use grinders, sanders & other hand/power tools
- Inspect finished parts for quality
- Previous experience in metal grinding, finishing, fabrication, or manufacturing preferred.
- Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
- Ability to follow work instructions and identify surface defects.
- Ability to perform repetitive finishing tasks while maintaining quality standards.
