American Traveler is hiring a rural Med/Surg RN for a night shift assignment requiring a UT or compact RN license and med/surg experience.

• Rural hospital setting providing direct and indirect patient care in the medical-surgical department
• Patient population ranges from post-partum neonates to geriatrics
• Areas of responsibility include medical, surgical, high acuity, rehabilitative, skilled, and pediatric care
• Opportunities to expand into post-partum care, infusion and wound therapies, and cross-train in the Emergency Department and/or PACU
• Schedule is 7 days on, 7 days off per bi-weekly pay period
• Night shift, 6PM to 6AM

• Active, unencumbered UT or compact RN license
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• 1-2 years of medical/surgical experience preferred
• Current BLS certification required
• Current ACLS and PALS certifications required, or ability to obtain within one year of hire
• Willingness to earn NRP certification within one year of hire
• Strong knowledge of infection control principles and patient safety techniques
• Demonstrated critical thinking skills in rapidly changing situations
• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Provide a wide range of general nursing duties across varied patient ages and acuities
• Work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive information
• Remain calm and emotionally mature in stressful situations
• Reliable attendance and flexibility to accept additional duties as assigned
• Requires successful completion of a pre-employment drug test and background check
• Located in Moab, Utah near Arches and Canyonlands National Parks, offering year-round outdoor recreation
