Black Desert Resort’s Lava Love Coffee Bar invites a dedicated Supervisor to oversee daily café operations, maintain brand consistency, and lead a passionate team in a luxury resort setting.
Location DescriptionThe resort offers world‑class accommodations amidst stunning red rock canyons. Lava Love Coffee Bar specializes in handcrafted espresso drinks, specialty beverages, and fresh pastries, delivering an elevated yet comforting coffee experience to guests and staff alike.
Job SummaryAs Supervisor, you will manage scheduling, inventory, training, and service execution. Directly report to the Food & Beverage Manager and lead the Lead Barista and barista team, ensuring exceptional product quality and guest satisfaction while upholding resort standards.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise all daily café operations, ensuring consistent beverage quality, efficiency, and guest satisfaction.
- Lead and support the barista team, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback.
- Oversee scheduling, timekeeping, and daily task assignments for Lead Baristas and baristas.
- Ensure adherence to recipes, presentation standards, and service protocols to maintain brand consistency.
- Manage ordering, inventory control, and vendor relationships for coffee beans, syrups, milk, and supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of all café workstations, equipment, and storage areas.
- Monitor cash handling procedures and verify daily sales, deposits, and POS accuracy.
- Collaborate with the Food & Beverage Manager on seasonal menu updates, promotions, and special offerings.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and beverage regulations.
- Assist in training team members on product knowledge, guest engagement, and service recovery techniques.
- Address and resolve guest concerns with professionalism and empathy.
- Represent Lava Love Coffee Bar during resort events, tastings, and promotional activities.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in coffee shop or café management, including leadership of a small team.
- Strong knowledge of specialty coffee preparation, espresso extraction, and equipment operation.
- Proven ability to train and motivate a team in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills.
- Proficiency with POS systems, scheduling software, and basic reporting tools.
- Strong understanding of cash handling and inventory management.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
- Utah Food Handler and Alcohol Server certifications required or obtainable within 30 days of hire.
