Job Overview

Ross Stores, Inc., a Fortune 500 off‑price retailer, is hiring Retail Associates to deliver a positive, friendly shopping experience across our 2,200+ stores. Associates greet customers, maintain merchandise presentation, support cash handling, and uphold Ross’s brand quality and safety standards.

• Maintain a safe, orderly sales floor and promptly report or correct unsafe conditions.
• Greet all customers with eye contact, a smile, and friendly remarks; assist with merchandise selection and questions.
• Operate registers and participate in cash handling duties with accuracy and integrity.
• Perform cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting and restocking, ensuring a neat and hygienic store environment.
• Expedite new merchandise receipts, arrange items per monthly presentation guidelines, and keep product brand familiarity.
• Follow all Ross policies regarding loss prevention, marking–out of stock, cash handling, and protection standards.
• Demonstrate integrity, protect confidential information and merchandise, and act as a Ross brand ambassador.
• Support teamwork, provide exceptional customer service, and contribute to driving sales results.

• Manages Work Processes and executes store best practices efficiently.
• Builds Talent, collaborates, and communicates effectively.
• Aligns priorities, ensures accountability, and leads by example.

• Communicate clearly, respectfully, and cooperatively with customers, associates, and store leadership.
• Perform basic mathematical calculations common to retail environments.

• Stand, walk, move, bend, kneel, squat, and lift as required for the full shift.
• Occasionally push, pull, lift over 25 lb, and use housekeeping equipment.
• Some shifts may require mobility in a stockroom setting or using lifting [
  25 lb or over 20 lb for stockroom work].
