Located at the entrance of Sorrel River, it is a one-stop-shop for a full range of groceries; from farm-fresh vegetables, eggs, butter and fresh daily made bread; treats, snacks and other necessities with gifts, camping gear and Sorrel River Ranch and JJ’s Mercantile branded apparel.

The Baker is responsible for preparing, baking, and presenting a variety of baked goods such as bread, pastries, cakes, and desserts. This role requires attention to detail, consistency, and knowledge of baking techniques to ensure high-quality products that meet food safety and quality standards.

• Prepare and bake bread, pastries, cakes, cookies, and other baked goods
• Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes
• Operate baking equipment such as ovens, mixers, and proofers
• Decorate and finish baked products as needed
• Ensure products meet quality, taste, and appearance standards
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations
• Monitor inventory and report ingredient or supply needs
• Clean and maintain baking equipment and work areas

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Previous baking or food service experience is a plus
• Culinary or baking certification is an advantage but not required
