Responsibilities- Follow all health, safety, and environmental requirements.
- Perform cleanup duties; perform material handling and storage duties.
- Identify, use, and care for common hand and power tools; use and care for craft-specific tools and equipment.
- Apply craft-related mathematics; apply safety standards and best safety practices relevant to rigging.
- Inspect rigging equipment and hardware; use common hitches, emergency stop signals, basic crane hand signals, and knot tying (bowline & clove hitch); use rigging equipment relevant to craft tasks.
- Perform general electrical maintenance, repairs, and installations; write shutdown and energization procedures for electrical systems.
- Work closely with other technicians on maintenance of electrical systems; estimate time and material costs for electrical projects.
- Assist with repairs, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and work order completion; assist with administrative tasks as needed.
- Comply with safety requirements and programs; coordinate work with other trades and outside contractors.
- Perform work and training as needed to meet department/facility demands; respond quickly to emergency situations and stay on site until the situation is resolved.
- Support site leadership and ensure proper functioning and maintenance of electrical utilities.
- Understand and carry out oral instructions; read and follow written instructions to perform tasks.
- Work at varying heights; recognize, avoid, and report safety hazards; assemble and disassemble objects; operate equipment and power tools.
- See hazards and warnings; bend, stoop, lift up to 50 lbs without assistance; climb ladders or scaffolding; kneel for positioning; reach above shoulders; demonstrate manual dexterity.
- Work in extreme heat or cold; high noise levels; wet/humid environments; cramped quarters; variable ventilation; indoor and outdoor work.
