Laborer Gas

At Niels Fugal Sons Company, LLC, in the Laborer Gas role, you will assist in constructing and upgrading gas systems, performing entry-level tasks under direct supervision. This is foundational for individuals looking to gain experience in gas utility operations.

• Follow instructions from supervisors and crew leaders
• Dig pits and trenches manually or with mechanical equipment
• Identify utilities safely in the trench/bore path
• Restore and landscape disturbed areas of the job site
• Set up and clean up job sites
• Clean vehicles, trailers, tools, and equipment
• Attend safety meetings and follow all safety protocols
• Report unsafe acts, conditions, or incidents to supervisors
• Assist in loading and unloading materials for job sites
• Operate basic hand tools as required

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• No prior experience is required, but trade or technical training is a plus

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: work alone in remote locations with arms above shoulder level, operate a vehicle, bend, stoop, stand, walk, utilization of fine hand motion, lift up to 55 pounds, use a keyboard and mouse
• Occasionally: work in confined spaces, use a portable ladder, and climb stairs
