• Follow all health, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Perform cleanup duties, material handling, and storage duties.
• Identify, use, and care for common hand and power tools.
• Use and care for craft-specific tools and equipment.
• Apply craft-related mathematics and knowledge of rigging, knots, signals, and safety standards.
• Review construction drawings and blueprints, interpret welding detail drawings.
• Perform oxyfuel cutting, preheat, post-weld heat treatment, metal preparation, joint fit-up, and welding that meets quality standards.
• Set up and operate welding machines/equipment, select filler materials, and interpret welding symbols.
• Perform air carbon arc cutting and gouging, weld identification.

Mental Demands: Understand and carry out instructions, work at heights, recognize hazards, operate equipment and tools.

Physical Demands: Visual acuity, lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing, kneeling, reaching, manual dexterity.

Working Conditions: Extreme temperatures, noisy environments, wet/humid, cramped quarters, variable ventilation, indoor/outdoor work.
