****** Crossing Guards are responsible for the safety of school children going to and from school at an assigned location. The work involves traffic control, supervising any person in crossing streets all with the emphasis on safety..

** Assigned Location**:
South Weber Elementary Due to the nature of this position, it is recommended candidates be within a short commute of the assigned location to fill in for the full-time Crossing Guards, as needed. Typical working hours include (but not limited) to 1 hour before/after school begins/ends.

* ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

** The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive.
* Applies appropriate knowledge of traffic laws and uses clear and proper traffic management signals to both pedestrians and vehicular traffic to safely cross any person within the designated school crossing zones;
* Works under the direction of the Crossing Guard Supervisor;
* Communicates with Crossing Guard Supervisor to report any information, problems, or concerns regarding the school zone where Crossing Guard services are performed;
* Ability to deal effectively and courteously with associates, Davis School District staff and the general public;
* Adheres to program policies, procedures and safe work practices.
* Performs other job duties as assigned by the Crossing Guard Supervisor.# Location
