We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Dispatch Coordinator to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the efficient operation of our supply chain by coordinating driver schedules, managing customer requests, and utilizing advanced dispatch technology. Key Responsibilities- Execute the dispatch function by providing support to drivers and customers, ensuring smooth communication and operations.
- Schedule and dispatch drivers based on customer requests, specifications, and operational needs.
- Prepare daily dispatch plans and communicate schedules effectively to drivers and relevant teams.
- Monitor ongoing deliveries and address any issues or delays promptly to maintain service levels.
- Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, driver logs, and customer interactions.
- Collaborate with the logistics team to optimize routes and improve overall efficiency.
- Utilize dispatch software and technology to streamline operations and ensure data accuracy.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving dispatch-related concerns professionally.
- Proven experience in dispatching, logistics, or transportation coordination.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in dispatch software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to resolving issues.
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in logistics or transportation are advantageous.
