Salary: $100,000–$125,000 (based on experience)

We are seeking an experienced Milling Manager to lead milling operations within a high-precision aerospace and automotive tooling environment. This role oversees people, processes, and equipment to ensure quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery of complex, tight-tolerance components. The ideal candidate brings hands-on machining knowledge, leadership experience, and expertise in multi-axis CNC milling.
Responsibilities- Manage daily milling department operations, including staffing, scheduling, and workflow
- Oversee CNC milling programming, setup, and production for aerospace and automotive tooling
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, customer requirements, and safety regulations
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, cycle time reduction, and quality
- Support complex machining projects involving tight tolerances and advanced materials
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams on new tooling programs and process improvements
- Review NC programs and maintain proper documentation and revision control
- Mentor and develop machinists, programmers, and team leads
- Monitor machine utilization, tooling performance, and preventive maintenance needs
- Leadership experience in a CNC milling or machining environment
- Background in aerospace and/or automotive tooling
- NC software experience (required)
- 5-axis milling experience (required)
- Advanced blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge
- Ability to manage production priorities, deadlines, and personnel
- CNC milling operations and programming
- Multi-axis machining (5-axis)
- NC programming software
- Tooling strategies and process optimization
