Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Milling Manager to lead milling operations within a high-precision aerospace and automotive tooling environment. This role oversees people, processes, and equipment to ensure quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery of complex, tight-tolerance components. The ideal candidate brings hands-on machining knowledge, leadership experience, and expertise in multi-axis CNC milling.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily milling department operations, including staffing, scheduling, and workflow
• Oversee CNC milling programming, setup, and production for aerospace and automotive tooling
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, customer requirements, and safety regulations
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, cycle time reduction, and quality
• Support complex machining projects involving tight tolerances and advanced materials
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams on new tooling programs and process improvements
• Review NC programs and maintain proper documentation and revision control
• Mentor and develop machinists, programmers, and team leads
• Monitor machine utilization, tooling performance, and preventive maintenance needs

Required Qualifications

• Leadership experience in a CNC milling or machining environment
• Background in aerospace and/or automotive tooling
• NC software experience (required)
• 5-axis milling experience (required)
• Advanced blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge
• Ability to manage production priorities, deadlines, and personnel

Technical Skills

• CNC milling operations and programming
• Multi-axis machining (5-axis)
• NC programming software
• Tooling strategies and process optimization
