Position: CNC Machinist

Macomb, MI

Job Type: Full‑time

• Set up and operate CNC mills/lathes, from 2‑axis to 9‑axis machines to manufacture firearm components with precision and accuracy.
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure parts meet quality standards.
• Program CNC equipment using CAM software and/or at the controller to produce complex geometries and contours.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Monitor machining processes and make necessary adjustments to maintain tolerances and efficiency.
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments to verify conformance to specifications.
• Collaborate with engineering and design teams to optimize manufacturing processes and improve product quality.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or apprenticeship in machining preferred.
• Minimum 3 years proven experience as a CNC Machinist in a manufacturing environment, preferably in firearms or related industries.
• Proficiency in CNC programming and operation, including experience with CAM software (e.g., Fusion 360, Esprit, Bobcam, Solidworks).
• Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, and materials used in firearms manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and GD&T symbols.
• Understanding of quality control and inspection of parts to ensure high quality parts.
• Attention to detail and precision craftsmanship with a focus on producing high‑quality parts.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot machining issues effectively.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures related to CNC machining operations.
• Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed to meet production deadlines.
• Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision.
