Emergency Department (64 beds: trauma, acute, super track, CDU, psych beds)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience (including pediatric care)

• Previous travel nurse experience required

• Active New York RN license (NURSYS verification)

• Current certifications: AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC (must be in hand)

• Proficient with EPIC EMR

• Charge nurse experience highly preferred

• Ability to float to other units as needed

• 2 recent ED Charge/Manager RN references

• Skills checklist matching ER specialty

• Valid driver’s license (address matches demographics)

• Must wear navy blue scrubs
ER Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate emergency care to patients of all ages (newborns to geriatrics)

• Assess, triage, and manage patients with diagnoses such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure

• Operate specialty equipment (Rapid Infusor, Arctic Sun)

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes

• Demonstrate strong critical thinking, communication, and leadership skills

• Float to other hospital units as required and adapt to changing patient needs

• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with hospital policies and procedures
