• Provide fast, friendly service by actively seeking out customers to assess their needs and provide assistance.
• Learn about products using company tools and relay information to customers to help sell an entire project.
• Greet, qualify, recommend, and close sales with customers in their department; assist with basics in adjacent departments.
• Maintain in-stock condition of assigned areas; ensure the area is clean, shop-able, and safe.
• Follow safety policies and complete required safety training; promptly correct hazards or report conditions to the Manager on Duty.
• Work in cooperation with the Department Supervisor and other associates across departments.
• Potential store departments may include Building Materials, Décor, Electrical, Flooring, Garden, Hardware, Kitchen & Bath, Lumber, Millwork, Paint, Plumbing and Tool Rental.
• Possible role types include Department Sales, Lead Generator, Pro Account Sales, Sales Specialist, Special Services, and Customer Order Specialist.
