Job Summary

Mohawk Valley Health System is looking for an Orthopedic PA/NP that would be hospital based. We currently have 2 PA?s and one NP. This is a hospital based position. NO clinic duties or call. The person would primarily cover the floor patients, ER and hospital Consults, and OR if needed. 12 hours shifts from 8am ? 8pm, 7on/7off model shared with an NP.

Education/Experience Requirements

REQUIRED:

• Master?s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner's Program OR certification from an accredited NP program OR completion of an accredited Physician Assistant Program required.
• Ability to meet and maintain credentialing requirements and hospital priviledges.
• Knowledge and competency in a wide range of clinical areas.
• Familiar with EHR/EMR software.

Licensure/Certification Requirements

REQUIRED:

• Current NYS Nurse Practitioner licenses OR Current NYS license as a Physician Assistant with prescription privileges.
• Current BCLS, ACLS certifications.

PREFERRED:

• Active ANCC certification in relevant specialty
