Overview:
Join our team at MVHS Inc. as an Emergency Department RN for an ongoing assignment starting as soon as possible. This opportunity offers a dynamic environment where experienced RNs can make a meaningful impact in acute care, providing urgent, compassionate care to diverse patient populations—from newborns to geriatrics. The position is scheduled for weekend and evening shifts, offering a flexible yet challenging work environment consistent with high standards of emergency care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide expert nursing care to patients presenting with conditions such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure.
• Administer medications, implement protocols, and utilize specialty equipment like Rapid Infusors and Arctic Sun devices.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver holistic patient care.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately within the Epic EMR system.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations, demonstrating high charge capability and floating as needed.
• Maintain compliance with all hospital policies, safety standards, and certification requirements.
What You Bring:
• A minimum of 2+ years of recent ED experience, with some Pediatric experience preferred.
• Proven ability to handle high-acuity, fast-paced emergency situations.
• Exceptional clinical skills, including patient assessment, medication administration, and use of emergency equipment.
• Strong documentation skills and proficiency with Epic EMR.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Flexibility to work weekends and evenings, with a positive attitude and adaptability.
Preferred
Education & Experience:
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent preferred.
• Experience working in a Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma Center highly desirable.
• Prior experience with rapid infusor devices, Arctic Sun, and other critical care equipment is a plus.
• Demonstrated experience managing a diverse patient population across all age groups is highly valued.
