Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Upstate New York

Start Date: November 30, 2026

Location: Upstate New York

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts. Floating to other units as needed. Block scheduling requests considered but not guaranteed.

• High-volume, 64-bed Emergency Department serving a diverse patient population from newborns through geriatrics
• Comprehensive case mix including stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure
• Specialty unit features including 2 trauma bays, 10-bed clinical decision unit, and 6-bed psychiatric area
• EPIC EMR system utilized throughout the facility
• Charge nurse capability highly preferred for qualified candidates
• Exposure to specialty equipment including rapid infuser and Arctic Sun therapeutic temperature management

• Active New York RN license required
• Minimum 2+ years of Emergency Department nursing experience with pediatric patient care experience
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Current certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC (must be current at time of start)
• Demonstrated proficiency with EPIC EMR system
• Expectation to provide care to all assigned patients across all age groups, including SANE responsibilities
• Willingness to float to other departments as patient care needs require

This role offers experienced Emergency Department nurses the chance to work in a robust, high-acuity environment with diverse patient populations and complex clinical presentations. The 64-bed department provides exposure to advanced emergency care including trauma, critical care, behavioral health, and observation services.
