Plumber - Rotational

Overview

Assemble, install, maintain and repair pipes, fittings and fixtures of heating, water and drainage systems, according to specifications and plumbing codes.

• Locate and repair plumbing problems in NSB and approved residential buildings in accordance with mechanical and plumbing codes.
• Install and repair plumbing fixtures.
• Monitor pressure gauges while filling pipe systems with water or air to determine whether the system is leaking.
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on NSB facilities and residential buildings.
• Periodical duties such as carpentry and basic maintenance.
• Travel to and work within NSB villages to perform services as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Knowledge of Borough policies and procedures.
• Skill in the use of tools, materials, and equipment used in the plumbing trade.
• High school graduate or G.E.D or a combination of 12 years of education and related work experience.
• Two years of plumbing maintenance experience.
• State of Alaska Plumber Certification or License required.
• Valid Alaska Driver's License that meets North Slope Borough insurance criteria.
