Overview
Assemble, install, maintain and repair pipes, fittings and fixtures of heating, water and drainage systems, according to specifications and plumbing codes.

Responsibilities- Locate and repair plumbing problems in NSB and approved residential buildings in accordance with mechanical and plumbing codes.
- Install and repair plumbing fixtures.
- Monitor pressure gauges while filling pipe systems with water or air to determine whether the system is leaking.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on NSB facilities and residential buildings.
- Periodical duties such as carpentry and basic maintenance.
- Travel to and work within NSB villages to perform services as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of Borough policies and procedures.
- Skill in the use of tools, materials, and equipment used in the plumbing trade.
- High school graduate or G.E.D or a combination of 12 years of education and related work experience.
- Two years of plumbing maintenance experience.
- State of Alaska Plumber Certification or License required.
- Valid Alaska Driver's License that meets North Slope Borough insurance criteria.
