Overview
The National Student Union is seeking coaches for student boards. This includes both the board as a whole and individual board members, focusing on group dynamics.
What does a coach do?A coach supports the LSVb board, a local student board, or an individual board member. As a coach, you help them get the most out of their year on the board and support their teamwork. On average, you conduct seven coaching sessions per year and are active for approximately eight hours per month, including peer supervision.
How do I learn or improve my coaching skills?That is possible with us! As coaches, we organize a personal development plan and joint peer supervision sessions ourselves. This year, we have seven joint peer supervision days (Saturday or Sunday). This is often a combination of training (e.g., on body language), peer supervision where we discuss each other s questions, and concluding with catching up or engaging in a social activity.
We regularly make use of an external expert to expand our knowledge and to further broaden or deepen skills. As coaches, we challenge each other to continue developing ourselves and to reflect on this.
We are looking for enthusiasts with an affinity for student organizations who want to commit and develop themselves as coaches. What qualities do you need for this?
- Reflective capacity;
- Socially and communicatively skilled;
- Flexible availability and available for at least one year
If you might be coached yourself by LSVb coaches this year, you unfortunately cannot become a coach.
Interested?Please contact us. During the job interview, we would like to hear more about your experience and motivation.
