Become part of the Commercial Asset Development Benelux team, responsible for developing renewable energy projects such as biomethane, power to heat, batteries, hydrogen, and other innovative solutions. Join a team currently of eight people in total and expanding. You will report to the Head of Asset Development Benelux and will work from the Utrecht office, on location in the Netherlands and/or from home.

About the role

  • Project Development
    :
    You will play a pivotal role in the development of complex projects with a value ranging between tens to hundreds of millions. You have a clear vision how to manage the projects for which you are responsible, from scouting all the way to investment decision.
  • Commercial Optimisation
    :
    Backed by strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of energy markets, you are able to identify commercial opportunities and fine-tune technical specifications to achieve optimum economics.
  • Contract Negotiations
    :
    You negotiate contracts with clients and contractors, manage relevant stakeholders and contribute to strengthening the Asset Development department.

Job requirements and experience

  • A university degree in business administration, economics or engineering
  • At least 10 years experience in asset project development and contract management in the energy sector
  • Demonstrable experience with customer interaction, commercial negotiations and optimisation of commercial structures
  • Technical knowledge, commercial acumen and high situational awareness
  • Ability to act as sparring partner to and deputy to the head of the department
  • Fluent in English and Dutch, understanding of German is a bonus
