Reliability Test Engineer

Reliability (Test) Engineer – Med Tech – Utrecht – Hybrid – Up to €95k

Do you want to make a real impact on the future of healthcare? My client is a fast-growing Med Tech company (90+ experts) that has developed the world’s first autonomous blood collection system and is now scaling rapidly across Europe and the US.

The Role
As a Reliability Test Engineer, you will ensure the robustness and performance of advanced robotic medical systems combining AI, imaging, and a 6-DOF robotic platform. Working at the intersection of software, hardware, and mechanics, you will design, execute, and maintain reliability test setups, analyse test data, identify failure modes, and collaborate closely with R&D engineers to improve system reliability and performance.

You will also contribute to automation and Python-based tooling for testing and release processes. During your first months, you will focus on running and improving reliability tests, maintaining stable test setups, ensuring accurate data capture, and resolving issues together with engineering teams.

Within 12 months, you will help establish a scalable and structured reliability testing framework where issues are identified early, testing delivers actionable insights, and reliability is fully embedded into development and release cycles.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Applied Sciences

3+ years of experience testing high-tech hardware or mechatronic systems

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Experience with test data analysis and interpretation

Python experience (automation, tooling, or test support)

Salary up to €95k
