About the role
As a Computer Vision Engineer, you will be working within the GIS-Geo Data Team developing and implementing Computer Vision models with Geospatial data, delivering cutting‑edge technology support their partners, government, and local councils. You will be developing and maintaining algorithms for new and existing applications. The team specialises in utilising advanced AI technologies with multiple Geo Data sources to understand and detect environmental anomalies.
Your role / responsibilities:
Collaborate across internal teams and IT/Data team to understand the requirements and projects of their clients
Develop and implement AI models using Computer Vision techniques to automatically detect objects, changes, and anomalies of a mapped area
Work with Python, Tensor Flow, PyTorch, and other relevant tools to develop, train, and deploy AI models
Leverage Azure Cloud environments for scalable and efficient processing of large geospatial datasets
Integrate AI solutions with existing GIS platforms, including QGIS/ArcGIS
Available to work onsite in the office in Utrecht
Qualifications:
Must be fluent in Dutch (written and spoken) to effectively communicate with clients and team members
Proven experience in developing and deploying AI models for Computer Vision applications
Strong proficiency in Python programming and experience with popular deep learning frameworks such as Tensor Flow and Py Torch
Familiarity with Azure Cloud environments for efficient and scalable processing
Experience with GIS platforms such as QGIS/ArcGIS for integrating AI solutions with geospatial data
Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Geomatics, or a related field
3+ years of practical experience in developing and deploying AI models for geospatial applications
