Job Description & How to Apply Below
Electrical Systems Engineer – EV Charging Infrastructure
Help build the future of zero-emission transportation. Electric freight transport places new demands on the charging infrastructure. As an Electrical Systems Engineer – EV Charging Infrastructure, you will work on the development of a high-power DC charging system for electric trucks. You will be involved from the initial design phase and, together with a multidisciplinary team, will determine how the entire electrical system will be constructed.

You’re not working on a standard charging solution, but on an innovative system that combines power distribution, safety, energy management, and intelligent control.

Your Challenge
You are responsible for the entire electrical system architecture of the charging station. You translate functional requirements into a technical design and ensure that all subsystems work together safely and reliably.

The Emphasis Is On

designing the electrical architecture, including grid connection, power distribution, and DC charging system;

the technical integration of components such as transformers, power converters, protective devices, and charge controllers;

overseeing validation, testing, and certification until the product is ready for the market.

What makes this position special?
You’ll be working on technology that is still very much under development. That means you won’t just be designing—you’ll also be contributing ideas on technical decisions, standards, and the system’s future scalability.

You’ll have the opportunity to contribute to topics such as:

Megawatt Charging System (MCS) for electric freight transport;

smart power distribution, load balancing, and integration with energy storage;

the development of a modular and future-proof loading platform.

Who are you?
You are an engineer who is energized by complex technical systems and enjoys working at the intersection of electrical engineering and the energy transition. You think in terms of systems, are not afraid to make technical decisions, and enjoy developing new technology.

You Have

a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Energy Engineering;

experience in designing electrical power systems, industrial installations, or power distribution;

an interest in EV charging, energy technology, or other high-power electrical systems.

Experience with DC charging systems, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), EPLAN, or relevant IEC and NEN standards is a plus, but not a strict requirement.

Why you?
This position calls for someone who looks beyond individual components. You understand how a complete energy system works and can bridge different disciplines. You are curious, analytical, and enjoy helping to build a product that is still in development.

What do we offer?
You’ll be part of an innovative development environment where technology takes center stage and where you’ll have a significant say in the decisions that are made.

You’ll Get

the opportunity to develop a new generation of DC charging infrastructure for heavy-duty vehicles;

a great deal of freedom and responsibility within a multidisciplinary engineering team;

plenty of opportunities to further develop your technical skills within the energy transition.
