We are seeking an experienced Pipeline Engineers to support a major pipeline infrastructure project through the engineering, design, construction, and commissioning phases.
This role will be responsible for the development, review, and optimisation of pipeline systems, ensuring designs are safe, efficient, compliant with applicable standards, and aligned with operational requirements.
The successful candidates will work closely with multidisciplinary teams and provide technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and review pipeline designs for high-pressure transportation systems.
Ensure compliance with relevant engineering codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
Perform technical assessments, calculations, and design reviews.
Support routing studies, material selection, and pipeline integrity management activities.
Develop and review pipeline layouts, valve arrangements, tie-in configurations, and pigging facilities.
Define design criteria including pipeline diameters, pressure classes, and material specifications.
Assess hydraulic, thermal, and mechanical design requirements.
Support technical studies including:
Strength and wall-thickness calculations
Flexibility and stress analysis
Integrity management evaluations
Coordinate engineering activities with civil, geotechnical, environmental, process, and mechanical disciplines.
Support risk assessments and safety studies, including HAZID, HAZOP, SWIFT, and Quantitative Risk Assessments (QRA).
Review contractor and vendor engineering deliverables.
Provide technical support during engineering, construction, commissioning, and operational readiness activities.
Pipeline design packages and technical documentation.
Pipeline routing and layout concepts.
Valve and isolation philosophies.
Design basis documents and engineering criteria.
Technical assessments and design reviews.
Engineering input for safety and risk studies.
Technical recommendations supporting project execution and operational readiness.
Requirements:
Education;
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.

Experience:

Minimum 10 years of experience working with high-pressure pipeline systems.

Experience with in the following sectors:
Oil & Gas
Carbon Capture & Storage (CCS)
Energy or Process Industries
Strong knowledge of pipeline engineering codes and standards, including:
NEN 3650 Series
ISO 27913
ASME B31
Experience undertaking strength calculations, stress assessments, and engineering design reviews.
Proven experience working within multidisciplinary engineering teams on large-scale infrastructure developments.
Ability to review and challenge technical deliverables from contractors and suppliers.
