Overview
The
Coordinator, Payroll
is a key member of our EMEA Payroll team, working in partnership with the Human Resources, Accounting, and other key stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing and will be the subject matter expert on all payroll processing matters for DACH Region (Germany/Switzerland/Austria).
Key to success in this role is the ability to communicate and influence across teams, an interest in collaboration and motivation to identify opportunities to streamline manual processes.

Responsibilities- Collect and perform data checks on payroll data received from the field before submitting to external payroll vendor, as well as perform checks on output data to identify discrepancies before finalizing payroll to ensure accuracy of payroll.
- Manage payroll vendors effectively to ensure accurate and in time payroll payments (salary, terminations, garnishments, and other third‑party required wage deductions).
- Address queries from employees, HR team, Finance team and various other stakeholders in a timely manner to create a positive customer experience.
- Keep up to date with changes in social security/taxes, and tax requirements and monitor the effect of these changes on the company and inform other departments when necessary.
- Document and maintain the payroll procedures manual for the countries in scope.
- Function as a strategic partner and contribute system and process improvements for all key system implementations and upgrades.
- Minimum of 2 years payroll experience in a fast‑paced environment with an up‑to‑date knowledge of all payroll legislation for the countries in scope.
- Fluent in English and preferably in German, both written and verbal communication.
- Knowledge of payroll, employment tax and social security legislation in the countries in scope.
- High degree of PC Literacy with advanced Excel skills (Vlookups).
- Knowledge or worked with ADP Payroll and People soft experience is a plus.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast‑paced environment.
