About the Company

Our client is a leading Dutch financial institution focused on innovation, responsible banking and financial crime prevention. Within a multidisciplinary technology environment, data and advanced analytics are used to strengthen Transaction Monitoring and combat financial crime.

As a Data Scientist, you will use data, analytics and visualization to improve Transaction Monitoring capabilities. You will work on end-to-end analytical projects, develop Power BI dashboards, build scalable Python solutions and translate complex business questions into actionable recommendations for stakeholders.

• Deliver end-to-end data analytics projects, from requirements through analysis and presentation.
• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards for Transaction Monitoring.
• Build scalable and maintainable analytical solutions using Python.
• Assess the impact of changes to Transaction Monitoring rules and parameters.
• Translate business questions into analytical approaches and actionable insights.
• Identify opportunities to improve monitoring effectiveness and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with data professionals, business experts and other stakeholders.
• Present findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and business audiences.

• Master's degree in a quantitative or technical field.
• 3+ years of relevant experience as a Data Scientist, Data Analyst or similar.
• Strong Power BI experience, including dashboard development and data visualization.
• Strong Python skills, including OOP and software engineering best practices.
• Experience writing maintainable, scalable and well-structured code.
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Able to independently lead initiatives and translate business needs into solutions.
• Structured, proactive and business-focused approach.
• Professional proficiency in English.
• Experience in AML, FEC, Transaction Monitoring, Risk or Compliance is a strong advantage.
