Position: Data Engineer ( Dutch Speaking)
For one of our market leading clients in Utrecht, I'm recruiting for Data Engineer.

Role Overview
As a Senior Data Engineer in Utrecht, you will build future-proof data chains with a direct impact on regulatory reporting and socially responsible banking. You will implement and manage the Historical Data Layer (HDL)-a strategic program for historical data storage supporting regulatory reports like FINREP and COREP-acting as a bridge between the Finance domain, DWH teams, and fellow engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Chain Implementation:  Implement and manage the complete data chain from source systems to regulatory reporting engines.

Domain Bridging:  Connect the Finance domain with centralized DWH teams and other engineers.

Testing & Quality Assurance:  Create test cases and mock-up data for unit testing in collaboration with the business, while guarding development standards and product quality.

Coaching & Leadership:  Coach team members and take a leading role within and outside the team.

Your Deliverables:

Implemented Historical Data Layer (HDL) data chains and ETL pipelines.

Unit test cases, mock-up datasets, and code quality reviews.

Your Profile:

Education:

HBO or University (WO) working and thinking level in Business IT (bedrijfsinformatica) or a related direction.

Experience (Hard Requirements):

Minimum of 5 years of experience with Data Warehouses, ETL processes, and logical/physical data modeling.

Strong command of  SQL  and experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Dev Ops.

Professional background within the banking or financial sector.

Preferred Assets (Pré):

Experience with regulatory reporting (FINREP, COREP) or bitemporally modeled data.
