UX Researcher - Sr. UX Researcher Consumer

Summary:

Use research to improve the mobile banking experience for millions of retail customers. As a Senior UX Researcher in Consumer Banking, you will turn customer insights into tangible improvements, work across the consumer domain and Growth Acceleration, and help shape features such as AI-enabled banking, shared banking and financial well‑being—with specific attention to Generation Z.

• Plan, organise and conduct qualitative and quantitative user research using a range of methods and translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
• Explore topics such as financial well‑being, privacy, sustainability and the mobile banking app.
• Advise design teams and business stakeholders on knowledge gaps, research priorities and customer needs.
• Coordinate research activities across multiple work streams and safeguard research quality.
• Coach designers and product managers in conducting research and help strengthen research maturity across teams.
• Challenge assumptions and determine when additional research does—or does not—add value.

• Qualitative user research (usability testing, interviews, diary studies, field research).
• Quantitative user research (surveys, statistics, data analysis, experimental methods).
• Experience with planning and executing large‑scale, complex research initiatives.
• Ability to oversee and prioritise multiple research work streams simultaneously.
• Strong advisory skills and the ability to challenge stakeholders constructively.

• At least five years of experience as a UX researcher in a complex working environment.
• In‑depth knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods.
• Proven ability to translate insights into actionable recommendations for design, product and business.
• Strong command of English.

• Proficiency in Dutch.
• Practical experience with usability testing, interviews, surveys, diary studies and field research.
• A pragmatic, proactive and flexible approach; interest in collaboration, inclusion, innovation and continuous improvement.

Conduct research, analyse insights, advise stakeholders, coach colleagues and ensure findings are applied in design and product decisions.

Collaborate with designers, product managers, researchers and other stakeholders across the consumer domain and Growth Acceleration.

• Working model:
  Hybrid. Wednesday is a designated office day; colleagues generally also come in on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

  Candidate must be available throughout the entire duration of the assignment.

  Candidate must be in possession of a valid passport or  bring it to the interview and at the start of the assignment.

• At least five years of experience as a UX researcher in a complex working environment
• Experience independently leading large-scale, complex research initiatives
• In-depth knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods
• The ability to oversee and prioritise multiple research work streams simultaneously
• Strong advisory skills and the ability to challenge stakeholders constructively
• Experience translating insights into actionable recommendations for design, product and business challenges
• Strong command of English
• Furthermore, the candidate has to be available throughout the entire duration of the assignment
