Retail Store Manager

Since 2017, LABFRESH has been on a mission to clean up the fashion industry by making clothes that last longer, need less washing and simply perform better. We develop our own proprietary fabrics, stain-repellent, odour-resistant and wrinkle-free and today our community spans 86+ countries.
And we’re growing.
With stores in Amsterdam, Leidschendam and Copenhagen, Utrecht is the next step in our retail expansion. The store is about to open, the team is being built and we’re looking for someone who wants to take ownership of it from day one.
We’re still a small, ambitious company where people know each other, ideas can quickly become reality and everyone gets involved. We’re building, experimenting and improving as we grow and there’s plenty more to come.

The Role  This isn’t about taking over an established store and keeping it running. You get to build it.
As Store Manager, you’ll bring our new Utrecht store to life: build the team, create the culture, establish LABFRESH in the city and create a store that customers love and that keeps growing.
Once the doors open, you own the Utrecht business; the numbers, the team, the customer experience and the day-to-day operation. You lead from the floor, know what’s happening in your business and turn opportunities into action.
We’re looking for a creative commercial thinker who takes strong ownership. Someone who sees what can be better and makes it happen.
But you’re not building it alone. Stores, Customer Service and HQ work closely together and jump in wherever needed. As LABFRESH grows, new ideas, projects and opportunities will keep coming and you’ll have the chance to get involved and help shape what comes next.
We’re laying some of the tracks while we’re running on them. If that sounds exciting rather than scary, you’ll probably fit right in.
What you’ll do   Own and deliver the store’s sales targets and know your numbers — revenue, conversion, AOV, UPT, labour productivity and contribution margin
Understand what drives performance and turn insights into concrete actions
Find and execute opportunities to grow traffic, conversion, sales and profitability — including local activations and partnerships
Own staffing costs and plan schedules around traffic, seasonality and peak trading
Make sure the store is always ready to sell — fully replenished, commercially presented, clean and on-brand, with VM standards consistently maintained
Own stock management, including seasonal orders, weekly reorders and stock accuracy
Recruit, onboard and develop a strong team, and build a sales culture through coaching, feedback, product knowledge and hands-on training
Set clear expectations and hold the team accountable for performance and standards
Lead from the floor — actively sell, advise and build relationships with customers
Make sure every team member understands what makes LABFRESH different and can confidently tell that story
Help customers wherever they meet LABFRESH — in-store or online, from chats and returns to finding products and shipping orders
Share ideas, best practices and customer insights across Retail, Customer Service and HQ
Who you are   3+ years of retail leadership experience, ideally within apparel, lifestyle or a fast-growing brand
An experienced Store Manager or a strong Assistant Store Manager ready for the next step
Commercially sharp and comfortable owning targets, KPIs and profitability
A creative, entrepreneurial thinker who takes ownership and turns ideas into action
Strong at motivating, coaching and developing people
Hands-on, structured and happiest leading from the floor
Comfortable switching priorities, getting involved and working beyond your own area when needed
Excited by change, growth and building something while we’re still figuring parts of it out
Fluent in Dutch and English
