Our client is an international manufacturer of technical products based in the Utrecht area.
ResponsibilitiesAs an Inside Sales Account Manager, you will split your time roughly in half. On the inside sales side, you create demand and generate new business, reaching out to potential customers (cold calling included), following up on leads, and preparing quotations. On the account management side, you build lasting relationships with existing distributors and key accounts, and you visit clients across France and the Benelux.
Your main goal is to grow profitable new business in your region while keeping the sales funnel clean and up to date.
- Generate new business through cold calling, customer engagement, market analysis, and lead development.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, key customers, and strategic accounts.
- Manage customer communication, sales activities, quotations, and follow-up to support revenue growth.
- Visit customers across France and the Benelux to understand their needs and offer suitable solutions.
- Collaborate with internal teams.
- Manage your sales and budget against targets.
- Handle pricing analysis, forecasts, and regular business reviews.
- Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to spot growth opportunities.
- Native-level French and excellent English, both spoken and written.
- Preferably a bachelor’s degree (engineering, business, or economics).
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a commercial environment.
- Strong business negotiation skills, with experience reviewing contracts.
- A result-oriented, self-reliant, and sales-driven approach, with the drive to get things started yourself.
- Strong interpersonal skills and confidence dealing with people at all levels, both internally and with customers.
- A category B driver’s license.
- Willingness to travel around 20% of the time.
- A varied role that combines inside sales with hands-on account management.
