Class Support Substitute (Rural) Uvalde, Brackettville, Sabinal, Campwood — Family Service Association of San Antonio, Inc.

Base pay range: $15.00/hr

• Greet parents and assist the Head Start Teacher in delivering the classroom curriculum in accordance with Head Start Program Performance Standards, licensing minimum standards, guidelines, and agency standards.
• Care for and supervise children per Head Start standards and agency protocols, focusing on safety, positive discipline, and constructive guidance.
• Maintain supervision of children within Head Start classroom ratios at all times and move between classrooms or centers as assigned.
• Support the classroom to create a consistent, respectful, trauma-informed environment aligned with Social Determinants of Health.
• Follow safety and quality guidelines to ensure a positive experience for children; serve as a positive role model.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Current Pediatric CPR and First Aid Certification.
• Ability to implement appropriate teaching strategies and techniques.
• Fluent in English and Spanish (read, write, and speak) desirable.
• Preferred:

  Goal completion: inspired to perform well by completing tasks.
