First State Bank of Uvalde is recruiting an experienced Commercial Loan Officer to manage an existing loan portfolio and to be an integral part of our bank's commercial lending team.

• Service and maintain a large existing commercial loan portfolio.
• Actively seek and promote new commercial loans and bank product opportunities within current loan portfolio and with new prospects.
• Exhibit excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Positively represent the bank's image/brand to customers, in the industry, professional associations, community/civic organizations, and local business groups.
• Effective management of the current loan portfolio to include obtaining updated financial/covenant information, evaluating the continued credit condition/repayment ability and collateral position.
• Be familiar with all types of collateral and the related detailed legal requirements to secure commercial loans.
• Make frequent outside calls to clients and prospects.
• Be a team player that builds rapport within the bank and with customers. Represent the bank's 1907 circa legacy and its corporate mission, vision, and core values.

• Bachelor's degree (accounting, finance, and/or business) and 10 or more years in commercial lending experience is preferred.
• Be able to become proficient with bank's CORE loan and credit underwriting systems.
• Have strong oral/written communication and interpersonal skills that provide the ability to work well with all levels of the organization.
• Have strong, accurate credit underwriting with equal financial and cash flow analytical skills.
• Able to work independently, multitask, adapt, prioritize, and find solutions as well as think and act proactively.
