Martin Marietta Materials is seeking a motivated and skilled Senior Industrial Electrician. This position will be based in the San Antonio area and will support all aggregate rock mining plants. The primary function is to maintain, calibrate, troubleshoot, consult, research, and develop process control instrumentation to optimize production efficiency. This position services various plants within the greater San Antonio, Hondo/Uvalde, New Braunfels, and Austin, TX areas.

Local travel is required.

• Coordinate all in-house electrical repairs and upgrades, including plant controls for rail operations
• Troubleshoot AC / DC motor controls and drives
• Research potential upgrades and fine-tune existing operations to improve safety, efficiency, capacity, consistency, and reporting
• Work closely with engineering and outside vendors to meet deadlines and complete projects
• Support safety culture and ensure compliance with safety rules and regulations
• Lead by example on safety procedures and MSHA standards
• Encourage participation in Guardian Angel activities

• 5 years’ experience in aggregates or similar industry
• Experience with conveyor belt scales, operation, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
• Texas electrician license (maintenance or journeyman) is a plus

• Excellent communication skills
• Vendor relations skills
• Willingness to be on call
• Knowledge of high voltage electrical systems
• Skill in using hand tools, test instruments, and electrical construction tools
• Experience with PLCs is a plus

• Lift up to 100 lbs
• Climb stairs/ladders, reach, squat, stand/walk, balance, bend, operate equipment, crawl, kneel, push, pull
• Perform overhead reaching and use vibration tools
• Work in confined spaces and in high noise environments
• Outdoor work in all weather conditions

All duties involve outdoor assignments in various weather conditions, including high noise levels up to 85 dB. Work may also be indoors in some cases.
