We're Hiring for a reputed client within the Government, supporting the smooth running of court and tribunal services at Uxbridge County Court. If you enjoy organised, people-focused work-and take pride in getting things right first time-this is a role where your day-to-day efforts make a real difference.
What you'll be doing:

* Clerking support for civil and family courts, tribunals and hearings (ensuring papers and materials are ready)
* Provide excellent customer service by assisting court users with queries, both in person and via telephone/enquiries
* Support ushering duties: receiving parties, calling matters into court, liaising as needed and keeping people informed of changes (e.g., courtrooms and hearing times)
* Help prepare rooms for hearings and clear down at the end of the day, including supporting hearings onsite and via video link
* Carry out general office duties such as filing, printing, post handling, and assembling information/bundles
* Work towards workload targets with a strong focus on throughput and accuracy
What you'll bring:
* Confident administration skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
* A customer-service mindset-calm, professional and helpful with the public, legal professionals and judiciary
* The ability to follow processes and guidelines, while also using discretion and initiative to improve within a framework of systems and processes
* Comfortable working in a busy environment where priorities can shift during the court day
* Reliable communication skills, including the ability to keep parties informed and support proceedings effectively
* Willingness to be flexible as required, including ad hoc work across local offices when needed
Additional information:
* Full office-based role, Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week (generally 9-5; sometimes 8:30 depending on tasks)
* Assignment until 31/03/27, with possibility of extension
* Pay rate: £13.36 for the first 12 weeks, then £15.59 afterwards
* Role includes opportunities to contribute to continuous improvement within the team
