Are you interested in laboratory-based construction materials testing? This could be your opportunity to excel as a Trainee Laboratory Technician, playing a vital role in supporting SOCOTEC’s continued success.
As SOCOTEC grows, so do our teams. We’re looking for a dedicated Trainee Laboratory Technician to join our Materials Testing business unit and wear the SOCOTEC badge with pride.
We are seeking a proactive, reliable, and flexible Trainee Laboratory Technician to join our Infrastructure team. In this role, you’ll need the confidence to work independently, alongside the ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team. A background in testing concrete, soils, aggregates and bituminous mixtures, along with knowledge of UKAS accredited laboratory practices, is essential to thrive in this position.
The tasks you will undertake will include (but are not limited to):
- Testing of construction materials
- Completion of test sheets, including all calculations
- Production of reports in line with QA systems
To be a successful Laboratory Technician, you should be able to demonstrate:
- No previous experience required as full training given
- GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths
- Experience of laboratory testing of construction materials
- Health & safety focused approach
