Quantity Surveyor

About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a growing, award-winning main contractor delivering high-quality construction, refurbishment and design & build projects across London and the Home Counties.

Working across a diverse portfolio including residential, education, healthcare, commercial, leisure and heritage projects, you will play a key role in managing project finances, maximising profitability and supporting successful project delivery from inception through to final account.

Key Responsibilities
 
Full commercial management of construction projects.
Preparation and management of budgets, forecasts and cost plans.
Procurement and management of subcontractor packages.
Valuations, variations and change management.
Preparation and negotiation of final accounts.
Cash flow forecasting and reporting.
Risk identification and commercial mitigation.
Supporting project teams to achieve programme, quality and financial objectives.
Producing accurate management reports for senior leadership.
Maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants and supply chain partners.  About You
 
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
Experience working for a main contractor.
Strong knowledge of JCT contracts and commercial practices.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline preferred.
Membership of RICS or working towards chartership would be advantageous.  What's on Offer?
